COWOC is excited to announce an upcoming initiative aimed at supporting the families of youth enrolled in our after-school programs. Our new Youth Development Program provided via the Health and Arts Learning HUB, launching upon receiving grant funding, will empower parents through comprehensive workforce development. We believe that a supportive family environment significantly contributes to the success of young people. Therefore, our program will provide parents with essential tools and resources to enhance their employability and achieve economic stability. This holistic approach includes workshops on resume building, career advancement, and networking opportunities, ensuring parents can secure better job prospects and foster a nurturing home environment.
Additionally, the Health and Arts Learning HUB is an out-of-school time program providing students with opportunities to engage in hands-on, interactive learning. Students will reinforce reading concepts through art and science activities and build on math and science concepts by performing hands-on experiments. Our goal is to ensure students achieve a C or better in math and reading, setting a strong foundation for their academic success.
