Rev. Buce Herbert began working with the organization in 2010 in Washington, DC. In his initial role as Recruiter, Rev. Bruce’s involvement has been key to the continued evolution of the organization. Rev. Herbert sought after some of the finest, brightest and most passionate talent any organization could ask for.
While a dedicated professional, Rev. Herbert is also an ordained minister, business owner and upcoming author. In 2016, Bruce explored the idea of completing the Human Resources Developmental Leadership Program at Prince George’s County Community College within the Teambuilders track. In doing so, Rev. Herbert finished at the top of his class with honors.
Rev. Bruce Herbert served as the Pro-Tem of the Trustee Board for several years and became an ordained minister in July 2015. Rev. Herbert serves at the Community of Hope African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E) Church as a co-leader of the Hope Battalion Men’s Ministry and has been a member since 2006.
Bruce enrolled in Lancaster Bible College formally known as Washington Bible College and has earned credits toward his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. He is a graduate of Potomac Senior High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Before becoming a part of this great team. Rev. Herbert worked for the United States Government at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Moreover, Bruce has always found time to be a part of his local community. His involvement in the community got him recognized by KPMG’s accounting firm as “Chairman of the Year” for volunteerism. Bruce has received several community service awards; he has also been recognized as the “Man of the Year” in the Washington Conference (Potomac District). One of his recent awards is the Distinction of Hope award as he’s joined the class of awardees such as the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Marion Barry and Senator John Lewis to name a few.
Rev. Herbert currently resides in District Heights, Maryland and has been there since 1997.
